I am writing to express my interest in the Marketing Assistant position at Baker Publishing Group. My experience marketing for my college’s English department, along with my strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail, has prepared me to contribute effectively to your team.
I am drawn to this role because of its emphasis on organization, collaboration, and supporting authors during the publishing process. During my research fellowship and academic work, I balanced multiple long-term projects and deadlines while coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and tracking progress across disciplines. Through my leadership experience in my sorority, I developed skills in organizing events, maintaining shared documents, and helping execute group initiatives. In my work as a writing center consultant, I gained valuable administrative experience while collaborating closely with students, faculty, and staff.
I am excited by the opportunity to support authors throughout the publishing process and contribute to projects that amplify the impact of their work. Joining Baker Publishing Group would allow me to combine both my passion for storytelling with my skills gained throughout my college experience, while also learning from an experienced marketing team.
